The Shamrock Inn
When a local restaurant faced a critical deadline, KC Contracting stepped in to complete a full flooring renovation in just four days. Our team worked 16-hour days to ensure the restaurant could reopen on schedule with minimal disruption to its business.
The project began with the removal of all furniture, equipment, and materials from the bar area before demolishing and removing the existing flooring. After uncovering damaged structural components, we replaced the floor joists, installed a new subfloor, and completed the space with durable new tile flooring throughout.
In addition to the flooring renovation, we upgraded the bar area by installing new glass rinser sprays in the bartops, providing staff with a more efficient way to clean glasses and improve workflow behind the bar.
Through careful planning, long hours, and a commitment to meeting the client's deadline, the entire project was completed in just four days—allowing the restaurant to reopen as scheduled and continue serving customers without extended downtime.

Rush Historic Society
This historic renovation project for the Rush Historical Society focused on modernizing the facility while preserving the character and integrity of an important community landmark.
Working alongside architects, designers, and the Town of Rush, KC Contracting completed extensive interior renovations that included updated bathrooms, redesigned stairwells, improved entryways, modern meeting spaces, and a refreshed reception area. The project also involved structural modifications, wall reconfigurations, and the construction of a new rear porch addition to improve both functionality and visitor experience.
A major highlight of the renovation was the creation of a fully accessible entrance, ensuring the building can be enjoyed by all members of the community for years to come.
As one of the final phases of the project, we replaced 23 outdated, drafty windows with new Andersen windows, each professionally finished with durable Miratec trim. The new windows significantly improved energy efficiency, comfort, and appearance while complementing the building's historic architecture.
We are honored to have played a role in preserving and improving this cherished community building and thank the Rush Historical Society and the Town of Rush for the opportunity to be part of its transformation.
